Aatma Fitness Studios converted an old Fremont storefront at 710 N. 34th St. into a new fitness center.
The 13,000-square-foot space had been used as offices and storage. The space was gutted, leaving exposed concrete floors, columns and ceilings.
Design for the tenant improvement project called for comfortable, well-lit spaces within a semi-industrial envelope. Common areas are open with clear site lines to the studios, allowing for exposure to a variety of classes such as boxing, yoga, indoor cycling and strength training.
New construction created five separate studios, each suited to individual disciplines.
