Hazel Wolf K-8 is a 83,000-square-foot school at 11530 12th Ave N.E. in North Seattle, with a focus on environmental learning.

The school uses the environment to teach STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects. It can accommodate up to 680 students, and is a “choice school” that students opt to attend.

The school integrates with its 3.2-acre site to create an indoor/outdoor learning lab, with a living wall in main entry, green roofs and terraces.

The $39.2 million school was built last year and replaces Pinehurst School, which was demolished.
