Drivers Club

The Drivers Club, 7310 185th Ave. N.E. in Redmond, was designed for members to connect through their shared passion for cars.

The 66,235-square foot building offers space for a social club with secure vehicle storage and collection management.

Challenged to deliver the project as lean as possible, the design team chose to incorporate a pre-engineered steel frame for the major structural system.

Building materials were cost effective and easily accessible, with a focus on elevating the details and using them in unique way. The facade pattern developed for the exterior metal panels references the staccato effect of driving past fence posts on a winding road.

A special emphasis was placed on using regional plant materials reflecting the Pacific Northwest environment.

Owner: Doug Perry, Drivers Club

Architect: TVA Architects

Contractor: Synergy Construction Inc.
