Rural Alaska towns ban home brew

ANCHORAGE (AP) — In some rural communities, owning too much yeast and sugar can get a person arrested.

The Anchorage Daily News says the high rate of alcohol abuse has caused voters in some local option communities to not only ban booze but supplies to make homebrew, including large quantities of yeast and sugar.
