YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — The National Park Service has approved a plan aimed at relieving traffic congestion and improving safety at the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park near Gardiner, Mont.
Park officials say a new entrance station complex will give visitors the option of entering Yellowstone through the historic Roosevelt Arch or by traveling over a new access road to bypass congestion. The plan also will expand the parking area at the entrance and add new crosswalks and walkways.
