In these mindless, muggy days of summer, when the multiplexes are teeming with talking dogs and teenage do-gooders, the movie you really should see finally has arrived.
"Road to Perdition" is easily the best movie so far this year, at a time when you'd least expect it. A film of such heart and complexity usually comes along toward the end of the year, when it can stay fresh in the minds of Academy Award voters.
