At the Movies: Superman whodunit should hold more intrigue

By CHRISTY LEMIRE
AP Movie Critic

It should have been more decadent, this L.A. story of love, fame and jealousy. It should have been more lurid, with its competing conspiracy theories about murder vs. suicide and the high-powered players under suspicion.

HOLLYWOODLAND

Director: Allen Coulter

Cast: Adrien Brody, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Helen Bessolo, Bob Hoskins, Robin Tunney

Rating: R for language, some violence and sexual content

Running time: 126 minutes
