A fountain designed to evoke the sound of a murmuring stream is the latest art installation to the grounds at Seattle Center.

Designed by Gerard Tsutakawa (pictured right), the "Fountain of Seseragi" was unveiled a few weeks ago at the Kobe Bell Courtyard, located just south of the Intiman Playhouse.
Made of welded fabricated bronze, the fountain is 12 feet long by five-feet-six-inches tall.

Flat sheets were cut, shapes formed and the bronze was welded and polished before the trademark Tsutukawa dark patina was added.
Tsutakawa, the son of noted sculptor George Tsutakawa, also designed "The Mitt," a 9-foot bronze abstract of a baseball glove at Safeco Field.
