Joseph Schlechten, a structural project manager with KPFF Consulting Engineers, has joined the firm’s Tacoma office. He has designed, managed and supervised construction of a variety of civil and structural engineering projects over the last 30 years. His areas of experience include industrial, marine and floating concrete structures, container yards and loading facilities, bridges and highways. Schlecten is currently working on a hangar relocation at the King County airport and the Proctor Street Bridge rehabilitation for the city of Tacoma. His previous experience includes the enclosure and foundations for Boeing’s new Transonic Wind Tunnel and the fast-track reconfiguration at the Light Structures Fabrication and Assembly Facility at Boeing’s Auburn site.
