KPFF

Laura Smith has been named associate at KPFF Consulting Engineers. Smith, a structural engineer with 18 years experience, specializes in bridge, waterfront and civil projects. Her experience includes assessment of existing facilities, structural design of office building and waterfront structures and brick cladding design. Smith leads the brick curtain wall design on Immunex’s Research and Technology Center at Terminal 88. Other recent projects include brick cladding design for the Gregory Building in Portland, the 160 King Street Building in San Francisco, the Cosmos Lynnwood Office Building, the Costco Corporate Headquarters in Issaquah, and the expansion of Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. Previous projects include design of King Street Center and the seismic upgrade of Pier 56. In addition, she has provided structural support for master plan studies for the Washington State Department of Veteran’s Affairs, the Lake Washington School District and the Satsop Nuclear Power Plant.
