Bruce Ostbo was recently promoted to Grade VIII senior project manager at Berger/Abam Engineers in Federal Way. Ostbo has concentrated on concrete and steel structures design and the development of test plans and parameters. He is also a certified diver and a member of Berger’s underwater inspection team. Vern Nielsen has been promoted to Grade VI project engineer. Nielsen has nine years of experience with civil and structural engineering for public works and government facilities. His expertise includes stormwater drainage systems; transit facilities; and the design of steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures. Marie Do has been promoted to Grade V project engineer. Do has six years of civil engineering experience specializing in hydraulic engineering, water resources planning, and civil design. Her civil engineering experience includes design and preparation of plans and specifications, construction site inspection, retaining walls, hydraulic structures, roads and site work.
