Gary R. Bourne, senior vice president of Berryman & Henigar, is the new president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Washington (ACEC Washington), formerly the Consulting Engineers Council of Washington (CECW). Bourne, a civil engineer and land surveyor, has served as a director for the organization and participated on various committees since 1988. In addition to his roles at Berryman & Henigar and ACEC, Bourne serves as a city engineer for medium-sized cities. The officers and directors who will serve with Bourne include: president-elect Paul Masten; national director Jerry Williams; vice presidents Kris Betty and John Rowland; and directors Mark Aronson, Ralph Boirum, Jorge Garcia, Jim Miller and Kathy Robertson.
The American Council of Engineering Companies of Washington is a professional trade association representing 200 consulting engineering, land surveying and affiliated scientific and planning firms statewide. Bill Garrity continues his tenure as executive director.
