Bill Broz, manager of mechanical engineering at McGowan Broz Engineers, recently earned his certification as a LEEDTM accredited professional. Certification under the LEEDTM (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program signifies expertise in all aspects of sustainable design, and is awarded by the U. S. Green Building Council. Bellevue-based McGowan Broz Engineers, a 20-person mechanical and electrical engineering firm, has several projects on the boards currently slated for LEEDTM certification, including the new Capitol Hill Library for Seattle Public Libraries; the Terminal Radar Approach Control Facility (TRACON) for the Federal Aviation Administration; and the International District Village Square Phase 2 mixed-use development
