Thomas Hacker and Associates of Portland has announced the following additions and promotions. Jim Siemens joined in August, and his current work for the firm includes the Classroom and Office Building for the new University of California campus in Merced.

Sarah Hacker was hired as marketing coordinator. Hacker is responsible for a number of marketing functions, including proposal preparation, graphic design, public relations and managing marketing materials. Also new to the firm is Ross Lackey, who was hired as an intern. Lackey graduated with a professional Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University in Alabama.

Sarah MacDonald was promoted from intern to design team member. MacDonald joined TH&A in June 2000, after graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Architecture.

In addition to TH&A’s work for Portland Community College’s Rock Creek Campus and the University of California, current projects include the new library at Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, the New Experimental Theater for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland and the new Hillsdale and Hollywood Branch Libraries for Multnomah County Library.
