Kennedy/Jenks Consultants announced that Allen C. Shewey has joined the Pacific Northwest region as manager of the Portland/Tri-Cities Public Works group.
Shewey has background in water resources, storm drainage, sewer collection and pumping, water storage, water and wastewater treatment, and streets and parking facilities. He has served as principal in charge or project manager on a range of public works projects, with experience in all project phases from planning through design and construction administration. Recent significant projects include stream restoration and water quality improvements for an existing discharge to a Bureau of Reclamation wasteway, a storm water pump station evaluation, and restoration of irrigation siphons in Washington. Wastewater projects include treatment facilities using sequencing batch reactor and oxidation ditch technologies, wastewater facility planning and sewer studies, wastewater effluent discharge and permitting to water quality limited streams and innovative subsurface wastewater reuse.
