Opsis Architecture of Portland has announced the addition of eight key staff members: Adam Christie, Nancy Hiss, Halliday Meisburger, Irene Ng, Brandon Sanchez, Pat Sanchez, Jeff Stern and Mark Stoller. The two-year-old firm has a staff of 24 working on higher education, cultural arts and parks facilities in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming and Arizona.
Christie is project architect for the University of Wyoming Washakie Center renovation. He previously worked for Perkins & Will, New York, where he was project architect for the Midtown Hotel, a renovation and addition to an 18-story hotel in the Times Square Business Improvement District, and where he co-designed a cancer research lab for the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla.
Hiss has 15 years of experience with interior architecture, space planning, project management and the selection and documentation of furnishings and finishes. Since joining Opsis she has been working on projects at Pierce College, Boise State University, Southern Oregon University and Western Washington University.
Meisburger joined Opsis after working with firms in the Seattle area for 10 years. At SKB Architects, he served as project architect for the 100,000-square-foot Agilent/Heartstream corporate headquarters and projects for Eddie Bauer. At Callison, Meisburger served as project architect for the R.E.I. corporate masterplan/reorganization and interiors for the information technology department. At NBBJ, he worked on Key Arena, UW Medical Center Clinics and the Central Washington Hospital.
Ng has been working on an academic building at Boise State University West Campus and Portland Community College Sylvania Campus.
Brandon Sanchez has been working on the University of Wyoming Washakie Center renovation since joining Opsis. Prior to joining Opsis, Sanchez worked with Thomas Hacker and Associates.
Pat Sanchez joined Opsis as business manager. She has 20 years experience and has worked with architectural firms in San Francisco and Portland for 15 years.
Stern has been working on the student recreation center at Western Washington University, Murrow Hall at Washington State University and the Michael Curry Studio since joining Opsis.
Stoller has been serving as project manager for multiple projects at Clackamas Community College resulting from $48 million in voter-approved bond funding. He previously worked with Yost Grube Hall Architecture of Portland, and worked on high technology projects while with BML Architects of Portland.
