Thomas Cook Reed Reinvald Architects has named architect Kent McLaren to the position of associate principal. The announcement came on his 12-year anniversary with the firm.
Focusing on projects in the firm’s civic and housing studios, McLaren's recent projects as project manager include the first high-rise built in downtown Tacoma in a decade, the Columbia Bank Center, as well as tenant improvements in that building for State Farm Insurance, Laird Norton Trust and Neil Walter Co. Additionally, he is managing projects for Tacoma’s Maritime Museum, Hillside Terrace renovations for Tacoma Housing Authority, New Life Square for Tacoma Rescue Mission and numerous projects for Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma.
