Susan Rakow Anderson was recently promoted to Grade VII project manager at Berger/ABAM Engineers’s Seattle office. Anderson has 21 years experience on transportation, bridge and transit projects. She has worked on major projects in Thailand, Bangladesh, Detroit and Las Vegas and has specialized in seismic and finite element analyses and structure upgrade projects. Her current projects include development of the seismic design criteria for the Seattle Monorail Plan and managing final design of the elevated Link Light Rail McClellan Station and adjacent guideway.
Laura Cociasu has been promoted to Grade III engineer with the Portland office. Cociasu’s civil engineering experience focuses on water resources and wastewater treatment projects. She received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Portland State University.
In the Federal Way headquarters, Kenneth Bartenhagen has been promoted to Grade II engineer. Bartenhagen’s background includes design and document preparation for development of stormwater, site grading, and utilities for commercial, residential and educational facilities.
Janine LaMaie has been promoted to assistant business development and communications manager. She has seven years experience in the architectural/engineering/construction industry. LaMaie’s background focuses on project management, contract administration, business development and client services.
Berger/ABAM is a consulting firm offering services in the areas of project management, civil and structural engineering, environmental planning and documentation, and construction management and support.
