Triad Associates

Rick Tomkins has joined Triad Associates as director of engineering. Over 19 years, he worked as a construction manager for a multi-family developer and then as an engineer at a local consulting firm where he became co-owner. His recent experience includes Talus for Intracorp, Redmond Ridge for CamWest, Millenium Corporate Park for Bentall U.S., and Lincoln Way Apartments for the Intercommunity Housing Group. He will use his residential and commercial work experience along with his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Washington to steer Triad’s 20-person engineering department.

Also joining Triad is Carl Sorenson, project surveyor. With more than 30 years of experience, he has expertise in subdivision surveys for single-family and multi-family communities, and condominiums. In the last five years, he surveyed over 50 residential projects in King and Snohomish counties. His current work includes St. Andrews Group’s affordable housing community and Intracorp’s Information Center, both at Talus.
