Joe Simmler recently joined Otak as senior project manager and water resource marketing manager in the firm’s Kirkland office. Simmler has 28 years of experience in water resource management, including 12 years in the public sector and more than 16 years as a consultant to municipal agencies. Simmler has been assisting cities and counties in planning, funding and compliance with various local, state, and federal stormwater requirements. He is currently working on comprehensive stormwater management plans for the Port of Bremerton, and the cities of Fife and Marysville, and regional stormwater management plans for Yakima County, and the cities of Yakima and Union Gap.
Courtney McFadden has recently been promoted to Puget Sound marketing supervisor at Otak’s Kirkland office. McFadden has been with Otak for seven years and will supervise marketing activities and staff. She has led marketing efforts for projects including the South Tacoma Commuter Rail Station for Sound Transit; the Station Camp Commemorative Park and Interpretive Center in Chinook; and the Georgia Pedestrian Facilities Handbook.
Diane Levy recently joined Otak as marketing specialist at the Kirkland office.
