Protasevich

Alex Protasevich, a native of Minsk, Belarus, recently joined Helix Architecture. In 1988 he won the Young Architects competition in what was then the USSR. He came to the United States in 1989, after practicing in Paris for a year. He established his own architectural firm, Arc/Artel Architecture in Salt Lake City in 1993. His honors include the International Union of Architects’ Silver Medal awarded at InterArch 2000 World Triennial design competition for design of the Episcopal Church in Centerville, Utah.

Since joining Helix, he has developed the design for all buildings at the Port of Tacoma’s new Pierce County Terminal and Portland National Guard Fire Station.
