Sparling COO Eric Overton has been appointed to the executive board of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health, Washington/Oregon chapter, which strives to improve the quality of the health care environment through excellence in architecture.

In his role as COO, Overton manages electrical and technology design for the nation's leading health care facilities, including Providence Medical Centers and Sacred Heart Medical Center Replacement Hospital, a new 800,000-square-foot, 500-bed replacement hospital in Springfield, Ore.

Overton served on the American Society for Healthcare Engineering Planning, Design, and Construction Committee for four years and currently sits on the AIA National Health Care Guidelines Revisions Committee.
