Higa Burkholder Associates has hired Kurt Watanabe as a civil engineer. He specializes in commercial, residential and transportation engineering. Watanabe received his bachelor's degree from the University of Portland and a master's degree from the University of Washington.

Lance Robinson was hired as an engineering technician. He has 24 years experience in the civil engineering field. He received his bachelor's degree in art from Metropolitan State College in Denver and an associates degree in architectural drafting technology from the Community College of Denver.
