The Portland firm of Thomas Hacker Architects appointed two new associates: Paul Kinley and Joann Hermance. Kinley has worked on projects for the University of Oregon, the Oregon Historical Society and the Astoria Column Visitors Center. He worked for BOORA Architects and Allied Works Architecture in Portland after moving from California, where he worked for Ellerbe Becket Architects and Frank O. Gehry and Associates.
Hermance's work includes the Alameda Library in Alameda, Calif., and the classroom and office building at UC Merced. She worked for Thompson Vaivoda and Associates in Portland, and Polshek and Partners, Architects in San Francisco.
