Seattle-based civil and structural engineering firm Magnusson Klemencic Associates made the following promotions.

Derek Beaman was promoted to senior associate. Beaman specializes in museums and libraries and is working on a $455 million expansion of a convention center in Phoenix.

Ola Johansson, also promoted to senior associate, works on structural engineering for residential design, including a 68-story tower in Chicago.

Andy Fry is a LEED-accredited associate. Fry worked on the National Flight Interpretive Center for Boeing in Everett.

Associate Kerry Galbraith is now in the company's Chicago office as a client liaison on a 50-story office tower.

Brook Jacksha, a civil site engineer, is an associate. Jacksha worked on urban infill for the U.S. Federal Courthouse in Seattle and shoring for Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

Associate Jaime Sáez, also a civil site engineer, works on large-site housing and educational projects. Sáez is civil project manager on the Redmond City Hall and Seattle County Day School.

Associate Peter Somers works on seismic evaluations and historic renovations. He contributes to technical committees and industry code initiatives.

Somers is project manager on renovations of Cobb Building and Roosevelt High School in Seattle.

Magnusson Klemencic Associates has projects worth $34 billion in 43 states and 35 countries.
