Higa Burkholder Associates added John Weed as principal engineer to manage the engineering division. Weed has 20 years of experience with Bush, Roed & Hitchings, where he was a partner and engineering manager for 10 years. He will succeed founding partner Noel Higa, who recently left the company. The firm also hired Alex Brost and Justin Pedersen as drafting technicians. Brost interned with the firm. Pedersen is experienced in CAD and was a contract drafter for several years. Receptionist Christy Horton has eight years of experience as an administrative assistant.
