Is this region a flop at transportation planning?

  • The Economist magazine calls Seattle's planning the worst in North America.

    Back in 1996, Sound Transit promised voters light rail would get to the airport, but later was forced to scale back those plans and end the line in Tukwila. Now the agency says it has found the money to run trains to the airport.

    Earlier this month, the Economist, a British magazine with a million readers worldwide, slapped Seattle with a dubious honor.
