Berger/Abam Engineers named Arnfinn (Arnie) Rusten president and chief executive officer. The Norway native joined Berger/Abam in 1977 and has since managed projects such as the homeport facility for the U.S. Navy Carrier Battle Group in Everett and the U.S. Coast Guard's Pier 37 rebuild. Rusten will succeed Robert L. Wallace, who retired. Berger/Abam also promoted Elmer Ozolin to vice president to lead the waterfront department, and David Brown to vice president. Brown will continue as Portland branch manager. Berger/Abam's Northwest offices are in Federal Way, Seattle and Portland.
