NBBJ recently added seven to its staff. Dale Alberda's current projects include Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Virginia Mason Medical Center master plan and east campus project in Seattle; and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in San Carlos, Calif. Brenda Clark, a controller for NBBJ, oversees domestic and international tax issues, including projections, compliance, research, policies and processes. Kay Compton serves as design lead for NBBJ's commercial and mixed-use practice and is working on a Bellevue project with more than one million square feet of office, retail, hotel and condo space. Liz Jacks' projects include Washington University in St. Louis, Miss., and the Stanford University Learning and Knowledge Center in Calif. Diane Lindberg-Nigh's current work includes the new 315,000-square-foot inpatient hospital for Seattle's Swedish Orthopedic Institute and the St. Joseph Patient Care Center in Orange, Calif. Lynne Shira is working with the Swedish Medical Center Orthopedic Hospital in Seattle, and the San Carlos Center for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. Nancy Waiss is responsible for coordinating facilities and office services across the firm. She recently led logistical efforts for the move from Pioneer Square to South Lake Union, and she plays a role in risk management.
