Magnusson Klemencic Associates has hired 23 new employees in recent months, including 18 full-time structural or civil engineers. New design engineers include: Kevin Borth, Nathan Canney, David Garcia, Amy Haaland, Ryan Lent, Serena Markey, Tom Meyer, Janet Miller, Austin Payne, Joshua Powers, Greg Rogers, Tyler Sprague, Lori Szewczyk, Kevin Wang and Griffin Thornock. Borth is working in MKA's aviation practice, Canney is in hotel/housing, Garcia is in museums and libraries, Haaland is in hotel/housing, Lent is in hotel/housing, Markey is in labs, Meyer is in hotel/housing, Miller is in retail/urban villages, Payne is in health care, Powers is in convention centers, Rogers is in hotel/housing, Sprague is in health care, Szewczyk is in hotel/housing, Wang is in sports and Thornock is in convention centers. Anthony Vandermuss is a civil design engineer; Lanny Flynn is the manager of health care projects; and Ryan Reynolds is a civil design engineer. MKA recently expanded its space in Unico's Rainier Tower to accommodate up to 50 more employees.
