Pedestrian advisory board members needed

Mayor Greg Nickels is requesting applicants for positions on the Seattle Pedestrian Advisory Board.

The board advises the mayor, City Council and departments pedestrian safety and accessibility issues. The board reviews policies and plans affecting the pedestrian environment, and ongoing input on projects around the city, which could potentially change that pedestrian environment. The board also provides input on annual decisions about budget priorities. Potential projects that the board may look at in the coming months include a pedestrian master plan, the Rainier Corridor Safety Project and Alaskan Way Viaduct.

Architects, engineers and landscape architects are encouraged to apply.
