With the merger of Andersen Bjornstad Kane Jacobs and AKB under the name Andersen Bjornstad Kane Jacobs, AKB founding principal Arun Bhagat joins the new firm as a principal and Joseph Glaser joins ABKJ as a project manager. ABKJ also announced other new hires and promotions. Jason Shrope was promoted to project manager in the transportation department. Shrope has been with ABKJ for seven years and has 11 years of experience in design and construction, including roadway alignment design, site preparation, grading and paving design, and drainage. He is working on the West Thomas Street Overpass for the Seattle Department of Transportation and the Mount Si Bridge replacement for King County. Genmiao Chen joins the transportation department as a structural bridge engineer and Nduta Mbuthia joins the transportation department after nine years at the Washington State Department of Transportation. Mbuthia will be working on state Route 522 and the Orting Bridge for Kids. Recent graduates Matthew Novak and Gregory Nault also joined the transportation department, and recent graduate Mark Dachille joins the building department.
