The American Institute of Architects’ Seattle Chapter is hosting a day-long conference on how to bridge the gap between the state and city energy codes and the Architecture 2030 Challenge.
The conference will be Thursday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at REI Seattle at 222 Yale Ave. N.
Speakers include Stephen Kavanaugh, Javad Maadanian and Stan Price. The event will include a primer on 2006 energy codes, an interactive presentation on three energy-related design tools and an open discussion on what the Seattle architectural community can do to meet the challenge.
More information on the event and registration can be found at the AIA’s Code Green Web site at http://www.aiaseattle.org/ce_070920_codegreen.htm.
