The city is seeking merchants and property owners in the Pike Place Market Historical District to apply for two openings on the historical commission. The 12-member body is responsible for approving use and design changes in the 10-acre district.
It includes two market merchants, two property owners, two residents and two members each from Friends of the Market, Allied Arts and the Seattle Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Members serve three-year terms with all appointments made by the mayor and subject to City Council confirmation. Members do not receive financial compensation.
