Stephanie Pure takes job at AIA

The Seattle chapter of the American Institute of Architects has hired Stephanie Pure as its new external relations director. Pure will lead AIA’s communications and public information efforts, help AIA develop media and legislative relationships, and oversee the sponsorship program.

Pure has spent the last seven years as legislative aide to Seattle City Council member Peter Steinbrueck, an architect. Steinbrueck, who retires from his council seat at the end of the year, is also joining AIA Seattle as a member of its board. Pure will start Oct. 9.
