Interface Engineering promoted three employees to principals and partners: Steve Dacus, a senior mechanical engineer specializing in energy design, commissioning and sustainable strategies; Doug Smith, a senior mechanical engineer and LEED accredited professional leading the Washington mechanical design team from the Kirkland office; and Dave Williams, a senior mechanical engineer and LEED accredited professional who is team leader of Interface's health care design group. A dozen employees were promoted to associate. They are: Senior Technology Designer Steve Kelly who heads the technology design group; Senior Mechanical Engineer and LEED accredited professional Duane Monroe, a senior staff member with the health care design group; Kenton Aikens, a senior engineer in the fire/life safety design group; Senior Electrical Designer Mark Jackson, head of Interface's retail team for nearly 10 years; Senior Mechanical Designer Scott Holum, in Interface's plumbing design group; Senior Mechanical Engineer Brian Butler, a LEED accredited professional and team leader; Andrew Lasse, a senior mechanical engineer and team leader; Dennis Obritschkewitsch, a senior electrical designer who evaluates future and current projects; Senior Mechanical Engineer Kevin Duell, a LEED accredited professional and team leader; Melissa Crosman, who leads the marketing team; Senior Designer Kathleen Roach, who leads Interface's fire/life safety design group; Becky Ellsworth, a senior electrical engineer and team leader; Senior Electrical Engineer Ken Spencer, a LEED accredited professional and team leader and Senior Electrical Designer Chris Larson, a LEED accredited professional and team leader.
