Assisted living for Bremerton

Construction will begin late this summer on LakeLand Lodge and Cottage, an assisted living and memory-impaired living complex planned for the Bremerton area. The project includes only local players and will be one of the few family-owned senior care facilities in the Northwest.

The team includes the owners, the Shaw family, who are second-generation Bremerton residents. The Seattle architectural firm of William Polk Associates is doing the design and the developer is Bruce Beard of Pan Pacific Medical Development.

The design is a Northwest lodge style with exposed timber. There will also be a commercial village with a branch bank, beauty salon, optometrist office and other amenities. Medicaid rooms will be available in both facilities for low-income residents.
