March 4, 2009
The Seattle Office of Housing is hosting an open house on the Seattle Housing Levy and proposed new levy programs. The meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, in the Bertha Knight Landes Room at Seattle City Hall at 600 Fourth Ave.
No reservations are required.
In 2002, for the fourth time, Seattle voters approved a levy dedicated to afordable housing for low-income residents. The $86 million levy funds programs that create and preserve affordable rental housing, assist first-time home buyers and provide emergency rental assistance to prevent homelessness.
The levy expires at the end of this year. A new levy will be on the ballot in November.
