SCS Engineers hired four new technical professionals in its Portland office, expanding its services to include environmental compliance monitoring and reporting, hydrogeology, storm water, due diligence, and traditional environmental services. Louis Caruso is a licensed geologist and hydrogeologist with more than 20 years of experience in hydrogeologic and groundwater contamination studies. He has developed and managed hydrogeologic investigations and monitoring programs at landfill and industrial facilities in Oregon, Washington, California and Alaska. Caruso will serve as Portland office manager and project director. Registered professional geologist David Lamadrid and environmental scientists Jason Davendonis and Jeremy Jones also joined the office. Lamadrid has 14 years of environmental expertise involving groundwater characterization and monitoring, remedial investigations, due diligence, UST projects and solid waste hydrogeology. Davendonis has eight years of experience in environmental consulting and storm water related projects. He coordinates and manages project field monitoring activities for the hydrogeology group. Jones has three years of experience as an environmental scientist and is largely responsible for performing environmental field sampling at solid waste landfills, transfer stations, and industrial sites for clients in Oregon and Washington. Caruso, Lamadrid, Davendonis and Jones worked together at a national environmental consulting firm.
