WSP Flack + Kurtz hired Keith W. McIntyre as vice president and head of the electrical department for the Seattle office. McIntyre has more than 30 years of experience as an electrical engineer and for the past six years he served as senior facilities engineer with the University of Washington. McIntyre will oversee all electrical projects for the Seattle office, including Battelle Biological Science Facility, Kent Station Phase 4, Federal Way Regional Library, Western Washington University Buchanan Hall, University of Puget Sound Center for Health Sciences and Tacoma Center for Urban Waters. The firm also promoted Melanie Taylor and Edwin F. Bactad to senior associates. As head of the Architectural Lighting Studio in the Seattle office, Taylor has more than 18 years of lighting design experience. Bactad has more than 12 years of experience and is head of the telecom/low voltage department. His expertise includes knowledge of space and pathway planning for outside and inside plant cabling, and specification of the telecommunications cable plant for multiple project types. The firm also promoted Adam Leingang to engineer, Ben Gozart to design engineer and Shannon Wick to lighting designer.
