KPB Architects
The AIA Jury of Fellows selected
Garrett Maupin of KPB Architects as a fellow. He is one of 112 people awarded the honor this year for making contributions of national significance. Maupin was on the AIA Alaska Board for nine years, serving twice as president. He started the Alaska Architect newsletter and edited it for 13 years. He started the AIA AK Web site and was the webmaster for 10 years. Maupin works for Anchorage-based KPB Architects in its Everett office. He has worked on medical, judicial, airport, civic and educational projects throughout Alaska. Of more than 86,000 AIA members, there are fewer than 2,600 AIA fellows.
