Peter Opsahl is the new president of the Board of Directors of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington’s Seattle chapter. He heads his own firm.
Other new voting members are Andrew McGlenn of Jacobs Associates, vice president; Scott Douglas of DCI Engineers, past president; and four directors: Tom Bykonen of Perbix Bykonen, Howard Burton of Seattle Structural, Cheryl Burwell of the city of Seattle and Mark Moorleghen of DCI.
Several others are nonvoting board members: Ted Smith of Smith & Huston, treasurer; Jessica Jenness of DCI, Younger Members’ Forum representative; and Lynnell Brunswig, administrator of the association. The Seattle chapter has nearly 700 members.
