Mahlum Architects
Mahlum's Seattle office has two new associate principals: architects
Mitch Kent and
Todd Olson. Kent, who has worked for the firm for nearly 13 years, was project manager for Franklin Elementary, Rosa Parks Elementary and the new Finn Hill Junior High, all in the Lake Washington district, and the new Issaquah High School. He is managing the new math and science building for Crista Ministries' King Schools, and has worked on biotechnology projects, including a remodel for Seattle Life Sciences, new corporate headquarters for Corixa, and buildings for Orca BioSciences, Lucidas Information and the Hope Heart Institute. In Olson's 16 years with Mahlum he has focused on health care. He is project manager for the new Norton Sound Regional Hospital, which will be the largest building in Nome, Alaska, serving 15 villages, as well as the new Enumclaw regional hospital. He has managed eight projects for Valley Medical Center in Renton, four for the University of Washington and four for Mount Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka, Alaska.
