The American Society of Civil Engineers is hosting its 139th annual conference Oct. 29-31 at Kansas City, Mo.
Organizers said infrastructure revitalization will be a major focus, with sessions such as engineers’ role in emergency management, and how to leverage infrastructure development for economic recovery. There will be technical tours of the National World War I Museum and the kcICON Bridge Project, which is the first cable-stay road bridge on the Missouri River.
