ZGF Architects

ZGF Architects added nine employees, four of whom are former “ZGF-ers,” the firm said. The additions bring the Seattle office headcount to 99. Todd Stine has returned to ZGF as a technical design principal. He will play a lead role on select projects and oversee technical design quality on all projects in the Seattle office. He has 25 years in integrated sustainable technical design. From 1990-2004 at ZGF, Stine was lead technical designer on projects that include the Fourth & Madison Tower and Millennium Tower. Most recently he was a principal at Ruffcorn Mott Hinthorne Stine Architects. Bertha Martinez was hired as associate partner and senior project manager working on the Washington State University Global Animal Health project. At ZGF from 1988-2006 her projects included the Safeco Insurance Co. Campus in Redmond and University District expansion in Seattle. She most recently was project manager/architect at NBBJ. Masaru Haruyama was hired as associate partner and project designer, and is working on the Seattle Children's Hospital expansion. While at ZGF from 1999-2004 Masaru's projects included the Fourth & Madison Tower and Washington State University Plant Biosciences Building. He most recently was at NBBJ. Eric Ritchey was hired as a senior project architect. He is working on Nintendo of America headquarters office building and University of Washington Molecular Engineering Building. At ZGF from 1997-2005, he most recently was at Ruffcorn Mott Hinthorne Stine Architects as a senior architect. Gabriel Hanson joined the firm as a staff designer. He is working on the University of Minnesota Biomedical Discovery District project. He specializes in integrated energy-based design and knows 3D visualization and rendering. He was previously at Weber Thompson as a senior project designer. Kari Thorsen joined ZGF as an interior designer. Thorsen is working on projects for Franciscan Health System and renovations at Providence Everett Medical Center. Previously, she was an interior designer at Callison. Whitney Hall was hired as a staff designer. She is working on the University of Minnesota Physics and Nanotechnology Building and the UW Molecular Engineering Building. She previously was at Schacht Aslani Architects as a marketing coordinator. Huyen Hoang was hired as a staff designer. She is working on health care projects. Previously, she was at Olson Kundig Architects. Emily Craig joined ZGF as an intern and is working on Seattle Children's expansion. ZGF does architecture, planning and interior design, with offices in Seattle, Portland, New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
