Art Kjos is taking a leave of absence from day-to-day participation in Clark/Kjos Architects to lead facilities planning at the University of Arkansas for medical sciences. The firm said the assignment will give it insight into how owners plan health care facilities. Kjos will remain active in the firm's management and in selecting projects. He is a founding principal and has led CKA's technical services, including engineered systems integration, code compliance, leadership and constructability quality control. He is a leader with the American Society of Healthcare Engineering and a fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
