Federal Way-based BergerABAM appointed M. Lee Marsh as president and chief executive officer effective June 1. He will succeed Arnfinn (Arnie) Rusten, who retires May 31. Marsh, who holds a Ph.D., joined the firm in 1994 and has spearheaded many seismic design and assessment projects. As senior project manager and principal, his projects have included bridges, transit guideways, marine structures, buildings, and specialized work such as cranes for nuclear power plants. He also has been on the board of directors since 2006. Rusten became CEO in 2005 and has helped BergerABAM double its revenues and staff. The firm provides civil and structural engineering, planning, environmental services, public involvement, construction management and support, surveying, and underwater inspection services. It has more than 230 staff.
