In the Seattle office, architecture and design firm ELM Environments hired Yi Liu as an associate landscape architect. In the Jacksonville office, ELM hired Jenna Toffaletti as an associate architect, Mark Klone as a landscape architect and Belinda Barrett as an office administrator. Liu is was born and raised in China. She holds a bachelor of landscape architecture from Tongji University and a master of landscape architecture from Louisiana State University. She is working on San Diego Africa Rocks and Big Rock Park. Toffaletti spent four years at an architecture firm in Baltimore, and worked in commercial and residential real estate. Klone has eight years of experience on projects, such as parks and recreation, golf course planning, community planning, urban design, landscape architecture and graphic design. Barrett does administrative work. ELM Environments is a division of Jacksonville-based ELM.
(Editor's note: This story has been changed to correct Yi Liu's title to reflect that she is not yet a registered landscape architect.)
