Larry Yuan of DLR Group will discuss “China as a Design Market for Architects” at 5:30 p.m. May 21 at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Seattle.
The event is sponsored by the Society for Design Administration.
Yuan is DLR's Asia region leader. He will explain why winning a design competition in China does not mean your firm gets to do the real work, and why losing the competition does not mean you won't get to do the real project. He will talk about why success there requires perseverance and tenacity.
Cost is $35 for members, $40 for member firms and $45 for non-members and includes dinner.
