Steinway & Sons has a new piano store in Seattle Tower at 1218 Third Ave.

BCRA designed and did structural engineering and environmental graphics for the 2,906-square-foot space.

Wilcox Construction was the general contractor.

Crews added a recital stage, restrooms, a break room and an office.

BCRA said in a press release that it designed the showroom to feel more like an art gallery to emphasize the craftsmanship of Steinway pianos, which the company has created for over 160 years.

Historical photographs are displayed as a backdrop to the pianos.

Boston and Essex brands are also sold in the store. The gallery is laid out in a way that all the brands can be moved throughout the space.
